LearningWorks

LearningWorks has played an important role in our community since 1967. Formerly Portland West, the organization centered its attention on acquiring housing in the West End of Portland for low income families. Believing that education is the best path out of poverty, the LearningWorks mission focuses on education and mental health programs. Some include English Language Program, Service Works, Study Center, and Youth Building Alternatives. USM has many students who volunteer for LearningWorks each year. LearningWorks offers a variety of opportunities for college students to contribute to their community.
