Going to be around the Portland area the week of January 10-14th 2011? Got the Winter Blues? Want to get involved? Well check out this fantastic MLK Jr. project at Reiche Elementary School!
Southern Maine Community College, the University of Southern Maine, and LearningWorks are
working together to give students at Reiche Elementary school the chance to explore the importance
of role models. Through a variety of crafts and activities, children will ask themselves
what it means to be a role model, discussing the particular example of Martin Luther King, Jr.

We are currently seeking college students interested in working with children and making a
difference. Participating students will have the opportunity to lead creative activities, potentially
of their own design, during one of the half-hour sessions. All supplies will be provided. Student
groups are encouraged to participate!
