Serve in a classroom setting with 3-5th graders!

LearningWorks is looking for USM students to serve in their after-school programs at East End Community School and Reiche Elementary school. Both of these programs serve students in grades 3-5 who need extra academic enrichment. Students are broken up into classes of approximately 30 kids. Each classroom is lead by a certified teacher, and volunteers assist the teacher in running classroom activities and helping students with homework. This is a great opportunity for someone who hopes to work in a public school system, or work with this particular age group. Volunteers must be able to commit to at least an hour and a half a week for a semester. The hours of the program are 3-5pm on M, T, Th and 2-5pm on Wednesdays. If you are interested, please let me know!

all the best,
