Advisors Needed to Guide Teens in new program at Ronald McDonald House!

Ronald McDonald House® Teen Ambassador Program Advisor:

In an effort to engage youth in philanthropy and begin a path to nonprofit leadership, the Teen Ambassador program was created to build awareness amongst teens of the Ronald McDonald House® and the programs it supports in the community. Through participation in this program, young people learn leadership skills, how a nonprofit organization works and how to develop, promote and implement their ideas.

Responsibilities:
Individually mentor one Ambassador.
Serve as program managers for the RMH Teen Ambassador program.
Collectively provide guidance to all Ambassadors.
Host an orientation for incoming Ambassadors through the summer (specific dates TBD).
Create marketing materials to recruit Ambassadors.
Schedule yearly calendar (collaborate with RMH staff).
Work closely with RMH staff on coordinating events, meetings and projects.
Oversee social media page(s).

Commitment:
This is a full year commitment.*
5 – 10 hours per month.
Attend 6 of 8 meetings and participate in 3 of 4 events.

Qualifications:
Candidates should be in the 20-30 age range.
Personable, patient, flexible and a good communicator.
Able to deal with the public in a helpful and supportive manner.
Resourceful and able to work independently.
