staying on campus over spring break? come enjoy the outdoors and do some service!

If you are staying on campus over spring break, this email is for you!

We are planning some day long service trips that will allow you to enjoys the outdoors (hopefully) and help the community.
We are still in the process of organizing some projects, but here is one option we have so far:

Portland Trails Invasive Plants Project:
Description-
Help control the spread of invasive plants in the Fore River Sanctuary, Portland's largest saltwater marsh.
Learn about the marsh and the invasive plants that threaten its survival, play in the mud, and wield implements of destruction with staff from Portland Trails.
Dates-
Wednesday, March 27th 9am-3pm (Introduction to Invasive Plants)
Thursday, March 28th 9am-3pm (Sanctuary, hands on plant removal)
Friday, March 29th 9am-3pm (Sanctuary, hands on plant removal)
** If you plan to attend either Thursday or Friday, you must also attend the Wednesday training/introduction. If you can only make it Wednesday, please still join and learn about invasive plants.**

Please spread the word and tell your friends!! There will sign up sheets at the Volunteer Fair on March 13th from 11am-1pm in the Brooks Cafeteria

If you are interested or would like more information, please contact me!
