Chocolate Lovers' Fling Needs Help

The Chocolate Lovers' Fling has become a very popular event in Greater Portland, and is an important fund raiser for Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine.  This year's Chocolate Lovers' Fling is April 7, 2013, and to celebrate the agency's 40th anniversary, it will be a gala completely seated event.  This will require lots of volunteers with restaurant and catering experience.  If you're interested in being part of this great event, contact SARSSM directly -- Information and volunteer forms are available on the website http://www.sarsonline.org/ under Chocolate Lovers' Fling.

(I don't know about tasting, but it's chocolate -- Just sayin'!)  -ATM

Help STRIVE Help Kids!

Our good community partners at STRIVE (whose services in support of youth and young adults with developmental disabilities include STRIVE U, a partnership with USM) are expanding their annual fundraiser to include BOTH the popular STRIVERocks all night Dance Marathon  March 2nd (9pm-9am) AND a "Dance Day" event for younger children and families on Sunday, March 3rd from 10-6pm.   There are many volunteer opportunities to support these events:    Many shifts are available from 9pm-9am on Saturday March 2nd into March 3rd, and from 10am-6pm on Sunday March 3rd.   If you can help, contact Kristina Smalley at  774-6278 or ksmalley@pslservices.org.  For more about the entire event, and about STRIVE, see www.striverocks.org .
