This year, we can't wait until the start of the semester to enroll members in our AmeriCorps Service Leaders Program. We have the ability to enroll 3-4 more students to serve in the upcoming academic year, but we need to enroll them NOW! If you have a commitment to service and readiness to step up to a leadership and recruitment role, act fast to not miss out. We are particularly interested in members to support our partnership activities in service with the Portland Housing Authority Study Centers, LearningWorks, Boys and Girls Clubs, and Preble Street Resource Center.
You give:
- 300 hours of service in a calendar year, starting no later than August 15, 2010;
- liaison to a core project or partner such as those listed above;
- recruitment of at least 10 other students to work with you in the project or at the partner site;
- leadership development for yourself; and
- participation in AmeriCorps Team meetings and leadership for service collaboratively.
